About Dr. Edwin I. Achugbue

Edwin Iroroeavwo Achugbue, Ph.D., is a certified librarian under Nigerian law. He received the following degrees: Diploma in Library Science, 1995. Bachelor of Science Education (B.Sc. Ed) Library Science, 1997. Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Library and Information Science in 2005 and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph .D.) in 2015 in Library Science from Delta State University, Abraka, Nigeria. He worked as a Librarian at Delta State University Library from 1999 to 2007 and moved to the Department of Library and Information Science, Delta State University, Abraka in 2007. From 2007 to 2018 he was a lecturer in the Department of Library and Information Science. In May 2018, he was posted by the Federal Government of Nigeria on a diplomatic assignment to the Republic of Uganda as a Technical Education Assistant at Kabale University in Kabale, Uganda, East Africa. Dr. Edwin I. Achugbue completed the diplomatic assignment with distinction from the leadership of Kabale University. His research interests include ICT and librarianship, social media and library services, social networks, web utility, infopreneurship, and post-Covid-19 pandemic and library studies. Dr. Edwin I. Achugbue held various departments and leadership positions at the university. He has served as Deputy Director of External Studies Program, Head of the Department of Library and Information Science, Faculty of Education, Delta State University Abraka and currently Associate Professor of Library and Information Science and Polytechnic Librarian at Federal Polytechnic Orogun, Delta State, Nigeria
